Beta readers
Let friends read along while you write.
In Ascrivia you share a manuscript with the friends you choose, and they read your newest draft as soon as you save it. No exporting a file, no emailing chapter twelve, no wondering which version they have. Their notes come back right on the line.
Notes and reactions on the line
Readers select words and leave a comment on them, or mark them with a reaction. In the writing room, Review opens their notes beside the page and counts the ones still open, so you can work through them and mark each one done.

See where readers stopped
Ascrivia notes how far each reader got. In Review, every chapter has a strip showing where readers stopped and where they reacted, so a slow middle or a confusing chapter shows up as a pattern instead of a hunch. Readers are told you can see this.
Beta readers who aren’t your friends yet
Writing groups in Ascrivia can post a Beta readers wanted thread describing a draft, its genres and how many readers it needs. Writers offer to read; you choose who. Accepted readers can read and comment on the project, friends or not. A board gathers open requests from every group, so readers can find drafts in the genres they like.
Groups can also run a critique exchange: asking for critique costs a credit, and giving a real critique of someone else’s pages earns one. You can attach pages from a project to a thread for critique. Notes and research never come along.
