- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Free never asks for one, and every new account has Plus for its first 30 days without one. When the trial ends you're on Free unless you choose Plus.
- What counts as a manuscript?
- Each project in Your projects, the trash included, whatever its size or kind. A Short Stories project holds a whole collection, and importing a Scrivener project or a backup counts as one.
- What happens to my work if Plus ends?
- Nothing is deleted. Free holds one manuscript, so if you have more you keep writing in the one you choose (you can switch every 30 days), and the rest stay yours to read, export, back up, share and publish. Co-writers can still read a shared project. Seasonal packs you added stay yours.
- Who pays when we write together?
- Only the project's owner needs Plus. Co-writers, readers and commenters never pay.
- How do I cancel?
- From Your plan, any time, in a couple of clicks. Plus runs to the end of the month or year you've paid for and isn't charged again. A first payment can be refunded in full within 14 days.
- Who takes the payment?
- Paddle, as Ascrivia's reseller (merchant of record). It handles the card and adds sales tax or VAT where it's due, so prices are shown before tax. Ascrivia never sees your card number.
- Can I buy ink?
- No. Ink for the Stationer is earned by writing and keepsakes, and can't be bought. Plus includes new seasonal packs instead.
The full terms are in the Terms of Service, and what Paddle learns about you is in the Privacy Policy.
